Ports & Terminals Management Filing Clerk

About the role

Mombasa Container Terminal (MCT), a subsidiary of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), is located at the Port of Mombasa, Kenya, and handles imports and exports for Kenya and neighbouring countries. It is hiring a Ports & Terminals Management Filing Clerk (M/F) for a full-time position under a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Receive operations files from the manifest team and maintain logs of received files, then place them sequentially on the shelves.
• Receive gate passes from the gate pass team, check that all required documents are attached, archive them digitally in the TEMBO system and physically in the relevant files.
• Receive and check empty transporter interchange, maintain a log, alert management to interchange charges that could expose the company to depot charges, and file empty interchanges sequentially.
• Assist staff in clearing IOUs when requested.
• File KPA invoices received from the operations team in the relevant files.
• Maintain and safeguard company stationery, process requests in a timely way, and keep a log of stationery in and out.
• Assist during audit season by procuring files and logging files in and out, and keep track of files moved outside the filing space.
• Carry out any other role management deems necessary.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Records Management or a related field.
• 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the TEMBO archiving system.
