Presales Consultant – Splunk

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Presales Consultant specialized in Splunk to join our Kenya team. The role focuses on designing and presenting Splunk‑based security, observability, and analytics solutions, supporting the sales cycle from discovery to proof of concept.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical presales activities for Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud solutions.
• Engage customers to understand security, IT operations, observability, and analytics requirements.
• Design and propose Splunk solutions aligned with business and technical needs.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, workshops, and discovery sessions.
• Manage end‑to‑end Proof of Concept (POC) activities.
• Develop SIEM, security analytics, observability, and IT operations use cases.
• Demonstrate expertise in Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Support data ingestion, source onboarding, dashboard creation, searches, and solution configuration.
• Collaborate with sales and account teams on proposals, architectures, and technical responses.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4–5+ years of experience in presales, solution engineering, or a similar customer‑facing technical role.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to conduct technical discovery independently and translate requirements into solutions.
• Comfortable engaging with technical teams, security, and IT operations personnel.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud.
• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
• Solid understanding of SIEM and security analytics.
• Knowledge of observability and IT operations solutions.
• Proficiency in data ingestion, onboarding, dashboard development, searches, and use‑case creation.
• Experience designing and delivering customer‑facing POCs and technical workshops.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and enterprise IT environments.
