Primary Teacher – Key Stage 2 (Years 3‑6)

About the role

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Key Stage 2, equipping learners with strong academic skills, critical thinking, and independence in line with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum.
• Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Global Perspectives.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including high achievers and those requiring support.
• Promote inquiry‑based and student‑centred learning approaches.
• Design and administer formative and summative assessments and monitor learner progress.
• Prepare learners for Cambridge Checkpoint examinations where applicable.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and stimulating classroom environment and implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Support the emotional, social, and moral development of pupils and act as a mentor and role model.
• Participate actively in school programmes, clubs, and events, contributing to environmental sustainability, innovation, and community engagement.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning, stay updated with Cambridge curriculum developments, and participate in staff meetings and performance evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Primary Education or a related field).
• Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 (Years 3‑6), preferably within an international or Cambridge curriculum.
• Strong subject knowledge in English, Mathematics, and Science.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is an added advantage.
• Ability to integrate ICT into teaching and learning.
• Leadership, mentoring, collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
