Product Testing Analyst

About the role

The Product Testing Analyst will work within Absa's Digital Banking unit to ensure that new products, applications and digital solutions meet business requirements, quality standards and customer expectations. You will design, prepare and execute both manual and automated tests, identify defects and support the delivery of reliable, secure and high‑performing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review business requirements, user stories and functional specifications to derive test conditions and scenarios.
• Develop comprehensive test cases, scripts and data; estimate effort and support test planning.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression and user‑acceptance tests, both manually and using automation tools.
• Identify, document, prioritize and track defects; work with developers to verify fixes and perform regression testing.
• Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts and expand automation coverage.
• Prepare testing progress reports, communicate risks and quality concerns, and participate in defect‑triage and project review meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
