Programs Coordinator – Kenya

About the role

The Programs Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Head of Mission to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all Secours Islamique France (SIF) programmes in Kenya. The role ensures high‑quality delivery, donor compliance and effective use of resources while supporting partnership development and the mission’s strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead evidence‑based programme design aligned with SIF strategic priorities and donor requirements.
• Identify funding opportunities and lead the development of proposals and concept notes.
• Ensure all programmes comply with donor regulations, SIF policies and humanitarian standards.
• Oversee programme quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) systems and risk management.
• Represent SIF with donors, UN agencies, government bodies, NGOs and other partners.
• Lead recruitment, capacity‑building activities and staff supervision for programme teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme or project management within the humanitarian sector.
• Strong knowledge of donor compliance, humanitarian standards and MEAL frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead multidisciplinary teams.
