Project Manager – ALIGN Adolescent Health & Nutrition

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the ALIGN initiative, a Global Financing Facility‑funded programme that strengthens civil‑society and youth‑led organisations to scale adolescent health and nutrition innovations across up to twelve African countries. Reporting to Action Against Hunger USA and the Consortium Steering Committee, the role is a two‑year consultancy based on a hybrid/online model with occasional travel to target countries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the two‑member consortium (Action Against Hunger USA, The Youth Café, ENN) to ensure timely delivery of project components.
• Oversee sub‑grant management, including award, monitoring, and financial reporting for CSOs and YLOs.
• Facilitate technical support packages, capacity‑building activities, and the Cross‑Country Community of Practice.
• Lead engagement with government entities, policy dialogues, and youth councils to integrate innovations into national health systems.
• Prepare and submit regular progress, financial, and impact reports to donors and the World Bank.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing health or nutrition projects at regional or multi‑country level.
• Familiarity with grant management, sub‑grant administration, and donor reporting.
• Experience working with civil‑society organisations, youth‑led groups, and government stakeholders in Africa.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to travel occasionally.
