Project Manager for Angaza Program Consortium

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the Angaza Program Consortium, overseeing implementation across multiple counties in Kenya. Based in Nairobi, the role involves on‑site coordination, field visits, and partnership management with government, refugee agencies, and community stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for consortium implementation, ensuring cohesive planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of program activities.
• Establish and strengthen implementation systems, SOPs, coordination workflows, and accountability structures across partners.
• Serve as the primary liaison with donors, county governments, refugee agencies, and other strategic stakeholders, coordinating reporting, site visits, and updates.
• Lead work planning, target tracking, performance reviews, and adaptive programming using monitoring and evaluation data.
• Mentor and supervise consortium teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture and building partner capacity.
• Oversee budget management with the Finance Lead, monitor expenditures, and ensure value‑for‑money principles.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in development studies, project management, social sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience managing large donor‑funded programs, with at least 5 years leading multi‑partner consortiums.
• Proven ability to establish effective implementation systems and operational structures in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of refugee programming, youth livelihoods, gender inclusion, and economic empowerment.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
