Projects Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Specialist

About the role

The Projects Quantity Surveyor will prepare cost plans, drive value from suppliers, and ensure projects stay within budget while supporting the design team throughout all project stages.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost analyses, bills of quantities and tender documents based on architectural and engineering designs.
• Monitor project costs at each stage, conduct monthly financial reviews and forecast final outturn values.
• Develop and manage procurement schedules, negotiate tenders and support procurement strategy.
• Produce financial reports on cost versus budget, track cash flows and analyse completed projects for value for money.
• Assist with contract documentation, resolve contractor financial claims and ensure timely payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Registered member of the Board of Registered Architects and Quantity Surveyors (Kenya) in good standing.
• Registered member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya in good standing.
