Public School Partnership Coordinator

About the role

The Public School Partnership Coordinator will be the primary field‑level link between SHOFCO and its partner public primary schools in Kenya. Working under the Public‑School Partnership Officer, you will help implement SHOFCO’s Education Expansion strategy to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned partner schools, building strong relationships with heads of institutions, teachers, parents and school boards.
• Coordinate school‑level program activities, ensuring timely delivery of teacher professional development, EdTech integration, leadership support and learner safeguarding interventions.
• Maintain regular school visit schedules, document updates, risks and follow‑up actions, and report implementation challenges.
• Support planning, logistics and delivery of teacher training sessions and coaching activities.
• Participate in assessments of schools, teachers and learners to identify needs and inform targeted interventions.
• Facilitate classroom observations, feedback sessions and peer‑learning meetings to reinforce best practices.

Required profile

• Strong field presence with the ability to travel frequently to schools in Nairobi and Mombasa.
• Excellent relationship‑management and communication skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving program needs.
• Experience in coordinating education‑related projects or programs.
