Quality Control Inspector – Automotive

About the role

Our client, a reputable automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Inspector to ensure that raw materials, in‑process items and finished products meet all required specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials against established quality criteria.
• Carry out inspections at each production stage using approved procedures and checklists.
• Verify finished products against engineering drawings, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and communicate quality requirements to production teams.
• Approve or reject work based on quality standards and document findings.
• Identify defects, non‑conformities and process gaps, and initiate corrective actions.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
• Collaborate with production staff to implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, defect reports and corrective‑action documentation.
• Prepare and submit periodic quality inspection reports while ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques and assurance processes.
• Proficiency in documentation, reporting and record management.
