Quality & Hygiene Officer

About the role

The Quality & Hygiene Officer will ensure that all store operations meet the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a key part in delivering a best‑in‑class shopping experience by implementing robust quality systems across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor hygiene and food‑safety procedures throughout the store.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with internal and external standards.
• Identify non‑conformities, propose corrective actions and follow up on their implementation.
• Collaborate with store teams to embed quality culture and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management and regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Public Health or a related field.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is mandatory.
• 2‑4 years of experience in quality, hygiene or food‑safety roles within HORECA, government, food manufacturing or horticulture.
• Strong time‑management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO and CMMI.
• Expertise in quality control and supervision for food production.
• Proficiency in quality management and hygiene standards specific to food production.
