RapidPro & InForm Community Engagement Consultant (Consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF's Digital Impact Division, through its Digital Centre of Excellence, uses RapidPro and InForm in country offices to support programme monitoring, community engagement and data collection. The consultancy seeks a RapidPro and InForm Community Engagement Consultant to keep an active, informed and well-documented user community for both platforms, maintain the knowledge base and documentation, provide second-level user support and handle the routine administration needed to keep the platforms operational. The assignment is remote, based in Nairobi, Kenya, for 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow the RapidPro and InForm user community
• Maintain and expand product resources
• Support product management and evolution
• Provide ongoing user support and platform monitoring

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Five years of professional experience in communication and writing for an external audience
• Experience producing detailed technical product documentation
• Education or work experience in engineering or technical fields
• Experience working with and building open-source communities
• Experience using and deploying T4D and other T4D tools
• Outstanding English writing skills, with the ability to write logically and analytically and to explain technical jargon to a wider audience

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of RapidPro and/or InForm and other digital public goods
