Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist

About the role

The Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist will lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for our Kenya operations, handling both permanent hires and high‑volume contractor campaigns. You will act as the primary point of contact for the contractor workforce, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute high‑volume recruitment campaigns to meet contractor headcount targets.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment for permanent roles up to mid‑level, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination and offer preparation.
• Build talent pipelines through job boards, LinkedIn, community networks, referrals and approved partners.
• Administer assessments and keep candidates informed throughout the process.
• Own onboarding for new employees and contractors, handling documentation, contracts and first‑day readiness.
• Act as first point of contact for contractors, resolve queries, track deliverables and flag gaps.
• Coordinate contract renewals, endings and payment queries with HR and Finance.
• Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and contractor trackers, and report weekly on pipeline, time‑to‑hire and retention.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑4 years of full‑cycle recruitment experience, including permanent hiring.
• Proven experience in high‑volume or campaign‑based recruitment.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Kiswahili is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Kenyan employment requirements.
