Refresher Trainer for Business Record Keeping & Market Linkage

About the role

Somali Lifeline Organization is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver a refresher training programme on business record keeping, financial management and market linkage for host and refugee business groups in the Dadaab Refugee Complex. The assignment builds on a recent tracer study that identified gaps in cash‑flow management, stock control and market diversification.

Key responsibilities

• Design and facilitate interactive training sessions on cash‑flow management, stock control and business planning.
• Tailor content to the needs of small enterprises operating in retail trade, livestock and other sectors.
• Provide practical tools and templates for record keeping and financial reporting.
• Support participants in developing market linkage strategies and diversification plans.
• Collect feedback and produce a post‑training report with recommendations for ongoing support.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering adult training or capacity‑building programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with livelihoods programmes targeting refugees and host communities.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting, cash‑flow management and market analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
