Refueling Assistant

About the role

An oil and gas client based in Nairobi is hiring a Refueling Assistant. The role covers receiving client products by truck, dipping into storage tanks to check stock levels accurately, and maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, quality fuel delivery to aircraft with 100% compliance with the latest AFQRJOS checklist and 100% on-time refueling.
• Maintain accurate documentation for every product transfer to customers.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic issues on hydrant servicing units, resolving 90% within 24 hours.
• Carry out daily, weekly and monthly inspections of fueling equipment per MOCQAT procedures so it stays at least 90% operational.
• Record all fuel orders correctly and capture inventory data with 100% accuracy; reconcile meters at the end of each shift.
• Know the positions and operation of emergency systems at the airport and on hydrant servicing units, and report any anomalies or incidents promptly.
• Assist with control system troubleshooting, monitor equipment performance data, and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents, spills and other hazards.

Required profile

• Diploma in a technical field, preferably automotive or mechatronics.
• At least 2 years of experience in the field.
• 3 years of driving experience, including obtaining the AA Driving Competency Certificate and the KAA Airside Driving Certificate.
