About the role
Jordan Hospital in Kitui is seeking a qualified Residential Medical Officer to join its medical team. This full‑time position involves delivering high‑quality inpatient care, conducting clinical diagnostics, and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care and treatment to in‑patients.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in patient care.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and participate in ward rounds.
- Deliver health education and counselling to patients.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 1–2 years relevant clinical experience.
- Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and holds a valid practicing licence.
