About the role
The Restaurant Manager will oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar and room service at a Marriott property in Nairobi. You will lead the food and beverage team, ensure guest satisfaction and drive financial performance while maintaining high sanitation and service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise day‑to‑day restaurant, bar and room‑service activities, stepping in on the floor during peak periods.
- Maintain service and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with food safety and liquor laws.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling and performance to meet operational and financial targets.
- Lead, coach and develop the food‑and‑beverage team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee menu planning, purchasing and invoice processing to control costs.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field.
- Minimum 3 years restaurant operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a 5‑star hotel environment.
