Retail Operations Coordinator (6 Shops)

About the role

Purpink, Kenya's leading florist and gifting brand with 6 shops and a growing online store, is hiring a Retail Operations Coordinator in Nairobi. The role keeps the shops running well and looks beautiful, and includes training the next generation of shop managers.

Key responsibilities

• Visit and audit the 6 shops on a regular rotation and raise standards
• Own visual merchandising: displays, seasonal gifting campaigns (Valentine's, Mother's Day, Christmas) and hamper presentation
• Decide which products go to which shop and move slow stock early
• Onboard, train and coach shop managers
• Run daily reporting, stock replenishment and monthly stock counts
• Track sales, targets and staffing, and fix what isn't working
• Report weekly to the COO with clear numbers and actions

Required profile

• 4+ years in multi-store retail, including 2+ years overseeing several shops
• Diploma or degree in Business, Retail Management or similar
• Experience in gifting, florist, homeware, fashion or premium retail
• Proven record of developing shop managers
• Willingness to travel between shops weekly

Required skills

• Strong merchandising eye
• Stock control, cash handling, POS and KPIs
• Google Sheets and WhatsApp-based reporting
