Assistant Product Sales Manager - Splunk, Symantec, Illumio

About the role

A motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Product Sales Manager is sought to support vendor alignment, go-to-market execution and channel development for Splunk, Symantec and Illumio solutions across East Africa. The role works closely with senior product leaders to drive business growth, support partner engagement and run strategic initiatives across cybersecurity and observability portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Splunk, Symantec and Illumio vendors to align on business priorities, pipelines and growth targets.
• Help execute go-to-market plans, including promotions, campaigns, pricing support and demand generation.
• Contribute to product lifecycle management, including forecasting, pipeline tracking and performance reporting.
• Build and expand the partner/channel ecosystem by onboarding, enabling and supporting resellers and system integrators.
• Coordinate and track sales activities, pipeline and deal progression with internal sales teams.
• Support partner enablement sessions, trainings and certifications for Splunk (observability/SIEM), Symantec (endpoint and data security) and Illumio (zero trust segmentation).
• Assist in quarterly business reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare business reports, dashboards and insights on revenue, margins and product performance.

Required profile

• 7-10 years of experience in product management, vendor management or cybersecurity/IT solutions roles.
• Good understanding of GTM strategies, sales processes and channel business models.
• Strong analytical skills for forecasting, reporting and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
