Sales and Collections Intern – On‑site (Nyandarua)

About the role

Tenakata, a licensed digital credit provider in Kenya, is looking for a motivated Sales and Collections Intern to join its on‑site team in Nyandarua. The intern will support business development and collections activities, helping the branch meet its targets while gaining hands‑on experience in sales, customer service and financial record‑keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with Business Development Officers and Collections Officers.
• Support a productive work environment to achieve branch targets.
• Deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Assist in accurate and timely reporting of management information and market feedback.
• Contact debtors to receive payments.
• Follow up on defaulters to recover payments.
• Provide customer education and maintain relationships.
• Generate sales leads and identify business opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree (general education).
• Computer literacy.
• Background in sales or marketing preferred.
• Relevant experience in a related field is an advantage.
• Experience in a financial institution is a plus.
