Sales Assistant – Coast Region (Beverages & Petroleum)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Sales Assistant to support our beverage and petroleum distribution business in Kenya's coastal region. You will work closely with the sales team to process orders, maintain customer relationships, and help grow our market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and process sales orders from customers within the assigned territory.
• Support sales representatives in achieving territory targets and expanding the customer base.
• Visit wholesalers, retailers, hospitality outlets and other trade customers on a regular basis.
• Confirm product availability, pricing and quantities, and coordinate order fulfilment.
• Identify new sales opportunities and relay market insights to the sales team.
• Maintain accurate customer, sales and order records and provide regular updates.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, deliveries and customer queries to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist with collection follow‑ups and enforce company credit and sales policies.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and Kenyan regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• KCSE certificate minimum; Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Good knowledge of the coastal Kenya market, with familiarity of customers, routes and trading centres.
• 1‑2 years experience in sales support, order processing, FMCG, petroleum or beverage distribution.
• Experience in wine & spirits distribution is an advantage.
