Sales Executive - Field Sales & Team Leadership

About the role

M-KOPA, which has reached 7 million customers across Africa and offers smartphones and e-motorbikes, is looking for Sales Executives to join its Sales Team as it scales up. The role is a player-coach position with two equally weighted mandates: personal sales and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build a strong local network, identify growth opportunities and meet and exceed individual sales targets
• Recruit, onboard, train and develop a field team of Direct Sales Representatives, monitor their performance and build their capability
• Monitor local marketing campaigns, manage DSR inventory, handle audit compliance and produce reports that shape the sales strategy

Required profile

• Proven track record in field sales, with experience in FinTech, Microfinance, Telecommunications, FMCG or a related sector and a record of exceeding targets
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a field-based sales team, with the ability to recruit, develop and hold people accountable
• Strong knowledge of or networks within the local area
