Sales Executive

About the role

In-depth Research Institute (IRES) is hiring a Sales Executive for its office on Tala Road, Runda, Nairobi. This is a full-time position with a monthly salary of KES 35,000. The successful candidate manages the full sales cycle, from identifying and qualifying prospects to negotiating and closing business opportunities across the public, private and non-profit sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities through outbound calls, email, social media, events and other prospecting channels.
• Qualify leads and assess client needs, budgets and decision-making processes.
• Recommend suitable training and consulting solutions based on clients' organisational needs.
• Build relationships with senior executives, procurement officers, project managers and other decision-makers.
• Manage corporate and public sector sales, including tender submissions, requests for proposals (RFPs) and procurement processes.
• Negotiate commercial terms and follow opportunities through to contract signing.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts and client records using CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in B2B full-cycle sales, consultative selling or account closing.
• Strong diagnostic questioning, negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
• Sales certifications are an added advantage.

Required skills

• High proficiency in CRM software such as HubSpot.
• Understanding of data analytics and its business applications.
