Sales Manager (FMCG)

About the role

The Sales Manager (FMCG) will lead the company’s sales initiatives across retail, wholesale and distribution channels in Mulot, Bomet. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence and ensuring product availability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Drive sales performance across retail, wholesale and distribution networks.
• Create monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Build and manage a strong distribution network covering wholesalers, supermarkets, kiosks and independent retailers.
• Onboard new distributors and key accounts to increase product reach.
• Lead, supervise and motivate field sales teams, set targets and assign territories.
• Train and coach sales representatives on product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Maintain relationships with distributors, retailers and business partners.
• Negotiate sales agreements and commercial terms with large accounts.
• Gather customer feedback and recommend product improvements.
• Provide regular sales performance reports, forecasts and market insights to management.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 48 months (4 years) of experience in FMCG sales.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent understanding of distribution channels and market dynamics.
