About the role
The company is a fast‑growing water distribution startup looking for a Sales & Marketing Executive to drive brand visibility, acquire new customers and retain existing ones across Nairobi. You will act as a brand ambassador, manage the full sales cycle and support the marketing team in creating compelling material.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in brainstorming and implement new sales and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and manage end‑to‑end sales processes to meet targets.
- Prospect for new business and develop strong relationships with key customers.
- Support brand visibility by ensuring marketing materials meet company standards.
- Identify and research opportunities in new and existing markets.
- Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential customers.
- Provide regular performance reporting (daily to annually) and manage assigned budgets.
- Collaborate with directors and internal teams to mitigate risks that could affect sales growth.
Required profile
- Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Customer Service or a related field.
- At least two years of experience as a sales and marketing executive in a retail or wholesale environment, preferably within water distribution or similar sectors.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and understand mass‑market dynamics.
Required skills
- Strong marketing and social media management background.
- Good understanding of the water distribution market.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage difficult situations assertively.
