About the role

As a Sales Representative for East Africa, you will be the driving force behind Ingredion’s ingredient solutions across Kenya and the wider region. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to grow the business, deliver technical consultancy and create lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customers, meeting regional business goals.
  • Develop and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, initiating growth projects with existing and new clients.
  • Provide high‑touch technical consultancy and differentiated solutions to maximise customer ROI.
  • Own the bottom‑up sales planning process, including forecasting and market growth strategy.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts using value‑based pricing to ensure sustainable returns.
  • Support the development of an effective distribution network and collaborate with sales partners, distributors and agents.
  • Continuously expand stakeholder networks at customer sites to drive business development throughout the buying cycle.

Required profile

  • Proven experience managing B2B customer portfolios and delivering sales growth.
  • Strong ability to build and manage an opportunity pipeline.
  • Technical consultancy mindset with focus on delivering value‑added solutions.
  • Experience in sales forecasting, pricing and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with distribution partners and internal cross‑functional teams.
