Sales Trainee – Entry Level Role in Nairobi

About the role

Kuehne + Nagel Group is seeking a motivated Sales Trainee to support its East Africa market platform. This full‑time position offers hands‑on exposure to logistics sales, market intelligence, and customer relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across East Africa.
• Review and reactivate lost or dormant accounts and generate leads from existing clients.
• Maintain and enrich market intelligence profiles and distribute vital marketing information.
• Collect and analyse market feedback through surveys and share insights with sales management.
• Ensure data quality in the Corelog CRM system.
• Act as the primary contact for potential customers, building long‑lasting relationships.
• Attend industry conferences and events to represent the company.
• Provide regular progress updates on monthly/quarterly initiatives and forecast key account metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
• Preferably completed an apprenticeship or vocational course in sales.
• Basic knowledge of transportation modes and industry verticals.
• Strong verbal and written communication with a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to travel locally and overseas as required.
