SBC in Education Editor (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced editor to produce an SBC in Education Investment Case and a Compendium of best practices. The work will involve desk reviews, stakeholder interviews, and synthesis of findings to inform programme design, fundraising and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk reviews of academic and grey literature on SBC in Education over the past 10 years.
• Summarise evaluation results and best‑practice examples across eight thematic pillars.
• Collect and validate at least 30 examples from a minimum of 20 UNICEF Country Offices.
• Write and edit a 4‑6 page Investment Case and a visual‑rich Compendium of Best Practices.
• Deliver all outputs by the specified deadlines (13 Nov, 27 Nov, 10 Dec).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science, Education, Communication or Journalism.
• At least 10 years of research and editing experience.
• Fluent in English and French; Portuguese is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UNICEF’s SBC Programme Guide and editorial standards.
