Sector Head – Telecommunications, Media & Technology and Industrials

About the role

The primary objective of this role is to maximise sustainable Economic Profit from a portfolio of Public Sector and Infrastructure customers through effective business development and risk management. You will lead a team to identify sales opportunities, manage credit risk and drive growth across the Telecommunications, Media, Technology and Industrials sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with existing and prospective public‑sector customers, delivering products and services while meeting service standards.
• Develop and execute business development strategies, monitor complaints, and communicate product changes and pricing to customers.
• Manage credit risk for the portfolio, work with Corporate Credit Managers to assess and recommend credit facilities, and ensure risk‑adjusted contribution targets are met.
• Lead the team to achieve revenue, volume, acquisition and cross‑sell targets, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support AML and KYC compliance, and contribute to the implementation of the bank’s AML programme.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Management (required).
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing public‑sector clients, including corporate and project finance, trade‑finance and markets products.
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations, lending criteria and macro‑economic environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and to lead a high‑performing team.
