Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager will lead Telkom Kenya’s physical security programme, protecting offices, network infrastructure, warehouses and commercial outlets. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management, the role is responsible for developing policies, managing security contractors and liaising with law‑enforcement agencies to safeguard staff, visitors and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain security policies, procedures and work instructions for all physical assets.
• Direct the Security and Investigations team in day‑to‑day operations.
• Manage the security/fraud budget and prioritize cost‑effective solutions.
• Coordinate with law‑enforcement agencies and represent the company in criminal or civil litigation when required.
• Deliver security awareness training and maintain a basic security culture across the organisation.
• Work with the Investigations department to execute orders, warrants and summons.
• Analyse data to identify fraud patterns, produce quarterly fraud reports for senior management and the CEO.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with approximately six years of experience in security management.
• Proven ability to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Experience managing security budgets and external security service providers.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan law‑enforcement structures and ability to maintain effective liaison.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
