Senior Associate Advocate – Conveyancing & Commercial Law

About the role

Our client, a reputable Nairobi‑based law firm, is looking for a Senior Associate Advocate to lead the Conveyancing and Commercial Law department. The role involves managing high‑value transactions, providing strategic legal advice, and driving business growth while ensuring client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage conveyancing, corporate and commercial transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Lead, mentor and supervise the department team, ensuring high standards of service.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Advise clients on conveyancing, commercial, corporate and real‑estate matters.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Drive business development initiatives and support client retention.
• Monitor departmental performance, ensure timely delivery and contribute to risk‑management strategies.
• Provide legal updates, articles and industry insights to promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• LL.B degree from a recognised university.
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practising certificate.
• Minimum five years’ experience in conveyancing, commercial and corporate law.
• Experience handling securities, property transactions and related legal processes.
• Leadership or management training is an advantage.
