Senior Business Analyst – Core Banking

About the role

The Central Bank of Kenya is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the automation and optimisation of core banking processes. You will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently and align with the bank’s IT strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support automation of business processes, eliminating paperwork and non‑value‑adding steps.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and monitor system development, implementation and roll‑out.
• Evaluate existing processes, identify improvement opportunities and develop optimisation strategies.
• Oversee integration between Core Banking Systems and third‑party solutions, coordinating with vendors for technical support.
• Manage system changes, documentation, upgrades, patch releases and ensure alignment with change‑management procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in T24/Infinity/Financial Systems production support as an administrator or consultant.
• Minimum 5 years of UNIX (IBM AIX) system administration experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with IBM WMQ and IBM WebSphere administration.
• Minimum 3 years of Oracle Database administration experience.
