Senior Data Engineer – Cloud & Big Data Solutions

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our Data and AI practice. You will lead the design and delivery of robust batch and real‑time streaming pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and open‑source big data ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Composer and Dataplex.
• Lead projects from concept through production, managing timelines, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and aligning solutions with client strategic goals.
• Mentor junior engineers, drive technical discussions, and develop proof‑of‑concepts to advance the data practice.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture and enterprise software systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in GCP data engineering services (BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Dataplex).
• Hands‑on proficiency with Python, SQL and Apache Spark.
• Experience with open‑source big data technologies such as Hadoop and distributed computing concepts.
• Understanding of modern Generative AI (GenAI) technologies.
