Senior Fulfillment Associate
Purpink Gifts Ltd · Comté de Nairobi
Job description
About the role
Purpink Gifts is a Nairobi-based florist and gifting business that delivers flowers, hampers and gifts through its online store and physical shops. As a Senior Fulfillment Associate you will look after an order from the moment it is placed until it reaches the customer, working across the order desk, warehouse and dispatch so that every order is ticketed correctly, packed to standard and delivered within its window, including on peak holidays such as Valentine's and Mother's Day.
Key responsibilities
- Run the daily order batch: tickets, pick lists and same-day orders, sorted by delivery window
- Act as the link between customer service and the production floor on order status and changes
- Plan dispatch, routes and delivery windows with dispatchers, drivers and riders
- Track delivery cost per drop, compare riders and vans with courier and day-rate options, and suggest the most cost-effective routes and mix
- Plan and cost extra delivery capacity ahead of peak occasions
- Keep stock records accurate in the inventory system: goods in, goods out, cycle counts and reconciling counts against orders
- Flag low stock and shortages early to purchasing and the floor team
- Support goods-in, storage, picking and packing in the warehouse to company standard
- Ensure every delivery has proof of delivery (photo or signature) and records are kept accurately
- Resolve delivery issues such as delays, damages, failed deliveries and lost items
- Publish new products to the website after checking them
- Report daily on orders in, orders out on time and delivery performance, and monthly on delivery cost
- Help train and guide team members, support scheduling at busy times, and follow safety, quality and rider and vehicle standards
- Suggest and carry out improvements that cut errors and cost
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
- At least 3 years in order processing, fulfilment, warehouse operations, dispatch or logistics
- Hands-on warehouse experience (receiving, storage, picking and packing)
- Dispatch experience: scheduling and coordinating riders, drivers or courier partners
- Experience in an e-commerce, retail or gifting company is an advantage
- Experience guiding or training teammates is an advantage
- Calm and organised under same-day pressure, precise in communication, comfortable with daily numbers and finding the cause of errors
Required skills
- Inventory systems (Cin7, Shopify or similar) and Microsoft Office or Google Sheets
- Stock control: cycle counts, reconciliation and inventory accuracy
- Understanding of delivery costing, such as cost per drop, courier rates and route efficiency
