About the role
We are seeking a senior full‑stack software engineer with over 10 years of experience to join an international technology team building modern, scalable software solutions. The position is on‑site in Nairobi, Kenya, under a full‑time contractor agreement.
Key responsibilities
- Build and optimise complex full‑stack applications.
- Design scalable and secure systems.
- Lead code reviews and technical discussions.
- Mentor other developers.
- Collaborate with distributed international teams.
- Apply modern engineering and AI‑assisted development practices.
Required profile
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Ability to work on‑site in Nairobi (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST).
Required skills
- JavaScript and TypeScript (5+ years).
- React, Angular or Vue.js.
- Node.js and Express.js.
- Go for backend development.
- REST APIs and microservices.
- AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- NoSQL databases.
- Software architecture and system design.
- AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
