Senior Manager – Investor Relations (East Africa)

About the role

The Senior Manager – Investor Relations will lead Kaleidofin’s engagement with debt investors and capital providers across East Africa. Based in Nairobi, you will shape fundraising strategies, align investor needs with the company’s risk framework, and represent the firm at regional financial forums.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the investor engagement strategy for East African markets, focusing on debt fundraising.
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial banks, development finance institutions, impact investors and other institutional lenders.
• Identify, evaluate and close debt capital opportunities, including structured finance, credit lines and blended‑finance instruments.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk and Business Development teams to structure and finalize capital deals.
• Represent Kaleidofin at capital‑market events, investor meetings and regional financial forums.
• Monitor regulatory trends, macro‑economic developments and investor sentiment to advise internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage investor communications, reports, updates and compliance documentation.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of experience in debt capital markets, investor relations or corporate finance within financial services, fintech or impact investing.
• Proven fundraising track record and strong network with East African financial institutions (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia).
• Deep understanding of debt structuring, credit analysis and capital‑markets dynamics in emerging economies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in fast‑paced, cross‑border environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
