Senior Officer – Brand, Marketing & Communications

About the role

The Senior Officer will lead brand strategy, oversee marketing campaigns and coordinate corporate communications across digital channels for Rafiki Microfinance Bank. This role is responsible for devising impactful communication strategies, managing advertising initiatives and enhancing the bank’s social media presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute impactful communication campaigns.
• Manage sponsorships, events and vendor partnerships.
• Drive social media presence, copywriting and public‑relations growth.
• Oversee advertising initiatives and manage end‑to‑end promotional campaigns.
• Craft compelling copy for various media and handle media relations and event activations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or a related business field (CIM qualification is a plus).
• 3–4 years of experience in communications, marketing or a similar corporate function, preferably within the financial sector.
• Good knowledge of the Banking Act, Microfinance Act and CBK prudential guidelines.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
