Senior Relationship Officer – SME Business Growth

About the role

The Senior Relationship Officer SME will work closely with the Business Growth & Development Manager to implement sales and business growth strategies while maintaining a high‑quality MSME portfolio. You will acquire new clients, support business account opening, manage loan utilization, and ensure an excellent client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively market and generate business, focusing on deposit mobilization, loan disbursement, and revenue growth.
• Conduct regular calls and visits to customers for relationship management and satisfaction.
• Cross‑sell all Faulu products and services to existing and potential clients.
• Prepare credit appraisals and present them to the Branch Credit Committee.
• Monitor portfolio quality daily and take remedial actions as needed.
• Promote digital banking adoption and support customers on Digi Cash, Internet Banking, and USSD platforms.
• Recruit, train, and manage agency banking partners, ensuring compliance.
• Liaise with branch leadership, local authorities, and community leaders to reinforce loan collections.

Required profile

• Business management, credit management and supervisory skills.
• At least 5 years experience as a Universal Banker in MSME business.
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on lending experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Team player and capable of leading teams.
