Senior Research Officer

About the role

The Senior Research Officer will lead and coordinate research initiatives, develop business opportunities, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality insights that support the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute assigned research projects.
• Identify and develop business opportunities while managing client relationships to generate revenue.
• Supervise team members to ensure timely completion of research tasks.
• Track project progress, report updates to management and adjust plans as needed.
• Develop new methodologies and improve existing processes to meet project milestones.
• Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Collaborate with management on project budgeting, scheduling and expense control.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Liaise with accounting for payment processing and grant approvals.
• Stay current with emerging research tools and techniques.
• Analyze and resolve research issues promptly and accurately.
• Negotiate costs and manage finance and schedule activities.
• Define research priorities and contribute to the development of a research roadmap.
• Guarantee that deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading research projects and supervising teams.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities and problem‑solving aptitude.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, financial control and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication skills for presenting findings to senior management.
• Ability to stay abreast of latest research methodologies and tools.
