Senior Supervisor - Risk & Compliance

About the role

Githunguri Dairy Farmers Co-operative Society Ltd, which markets and processes members' milk into products such as pouch-packed fresh milk, Tetra Classic, butter, ghee and cream under the Fresha brand, is hiring a full-time, on-site Senior Supervisor for Risk & Compliance in Nairobi. The post reports to the Head of Audit and covers supervising risk and compliance activities, assessing operational risks, reviewing internal controls and recommending ways to strengthen compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise risk management and compliance activities by identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting risks and compliance exposures.
• Ensure department risk registers are kept up to date by the Risk Owners and Heads of Departments.
• Conduct periodic enterprise-wide risk reviews and give feedback across departments and depots.
• Follow up on the implementation of recommendations from risk and compliance reviews.
• Maintain accurate, timely risk and compliance information presented to management, backed by evidence.
• Monitor reported risk, fraud, compliance and control incidents.
• Promote risk awareness throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CRMA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, ACCA or another recognised risk/compliance qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, governance, controls and compliance.
• At least 4 years of experience in a supervisory position.
