Service Centre Manager

About the role

Safal Group is looking for a Service Centre Manager based in Westlands, Kenya. The role covers overseeing service centre operations, leading the direct sales team and growing the business in the assigned territory, while managing staff, resources and HSEQ compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Strategize and execute action plans to grow business and market footprint in the assigned territory or region.
• Oversee service centre operations, including production, coil and finished goods inventory management and facility upkeep.
• Build controls to prevent loss, pilferage, damage or degradation of stocks and assets.
• Lead and manage the direct sales team and develop customers across segments with excellent service.
• Ensure accurate profiling and timely dispatch of distribution orders with the Customer Service Department.
• Manage administration, production and logistics resources efficiently.
• Coordinate business development, local marketing and promotions with the Marketing team.
• Grow building solutions sales by integrating roofing products, accessories and company solutions.
• Lead, coach and develop service centre employees.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field; a diploma or professional qualification in sales, marketing or business management is an added advantage.
• 7-10 years of general work experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role in construction or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Kiswahili and English.
• Positive, results-driven personality with high integrity.

Required skills

• End-user of an ERP system, preferably SAP (mandatory).
• Well versed in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Leadership, planning, conflict resolution, CRM, financial analysis and budget management.
