Shipping Lead – Finance & Route Sales Control

About the role

The Shipping Lead will independently control finance functions across shipping and distribution in Kenya. The role ensures full reconciliation of route sales, timely invoicing, and strict POD compliance while identifying and eliminating revenue leakage.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily route‑wise stock, sales, returns and closing stock reconciliation.
• Reconcile M‑Pesa and cash collections and investigate shortages.
• Track POD receipt, ageing and route‑wise reconciliation; follow up missing PODs and short deliveries.
• Monitor Naivas orders from sales order through delivery, PGI, invoicing and POD; resolve exceptions.
• Identify unbilled dispatches, abnormal PGI and ensure timely conversion to invoices.
• Maintain the Shipping KPI Dashboard covering dispatch vs plan, POD compliance, PGI pending, and open sales orders.
• Detect revenue leakage such as unbilled sales, stock shortages, missing PODs, incorrect billing and collection gaps; quantify impact and drive recovery.
• Review adherence to SOPs and SAP controls, track recurring gaps and report significant issues to Internal Audit.

Required profile

• CA or Inter‑CA qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in FMCG, distribution, shipping, accounts receivable or internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills.
