Site Manager - Tusker Brewery

About the role

The Site Manager at Tusker leads large-scale brewery and manufacturing operations in Nairobi. The role provides overall leadership and accountability for site performance, driving business objectives through strategic plans, operational excellence and continuous improvement. It leads cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable production of beer, RTDs, ANADS, ciders and ready-to-serve brands, while meeting safety, quality, cost, service and sustainability targets. The role also champions Asset Care Management and the Manufacturing Excellence strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality and compliance, ensuring adherence to food safety, quality, health, safety and environmental standards
• Develop and execute site strategy and operating plans, and deliver targets on safety, quality, cost, service, OEE, productivity, water, energy and waste
• Build a high-performance culture through leadership, talent development, succession planning and employee engagement
• Lead asset care strategies, maintenance excellence, equipment lifecycle management and capital investment
• Drive the Manufacturing Excellence (EISC) strategy, continuous improvement and operational excellence

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or another science/technical degree)
• At least 10 years of senior manufacturing experience leading large teams
• Experience managing budgets, productivity programs and capital investments
• Proven record of delivering results across safety, quality, cost, service and productivity metrics
• People leadership, coaching, change management and strong technical systems knowledge

Required skills

• Preferred: Master Brewer, IBD, CMRP, WCM Asset Care certification, Lean Six Sigma or PMP
• MBA is an added advantage
