About the role
Equity Afia is seeking a qualified Sonographer to join its diagnostic imaging team in Nyahururu. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality ultrasound examinations and providing accurate diagnostic information to support patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations and obtain clear diagnostic images.
- Interpret images and generate accurate reports for clinicians.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment according to safety standards.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Required profile
- Higher Diploma in Ultrasound and/or Radiology.
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
- Registered with a valid license from the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
- Member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK).
- Strong report‑writing ability and good communication skills.
