Specialist II, Education and Proposal Management

About the role

The Specialist II, Education and Proposal Management will lead the creation of high‑quality, donor‑ready proposals for education programmes across Africa. Based in Nairobi, the role combines strong proposal management with deep technical knowledge of education to secure strategic funding.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess funding opportunities aligned with ChildFund’s education strategy.
• Develop and coordinate evidence‑based proposals, concept notes and technical documents.
• Collaborate with country offices and partners to gather data, project designs and budgets.
• Ensure proposals meet donor guidelines, quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a proposal pipeline tracker and provide regular status updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in proposal development, preferably within the education sector.
• Demonstrated ability to produce donor‑ready documents that are compelling and evidence‑based.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to detail.
• Current residence and work authorization in Kenya or any listed eligible African country.
