Sports Coach

About the role

Diamond Junior School is seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to lead and develop physical education programmes for learners from Kindergarten through Grade 9. You will design and deliver training across a range of ball games and athletics, fostering a love for sport while ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured training sessions for football, basketball, netball, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, athletics and other ball games.
• Plan and conduct age‑appropriate P.E. lessons aligned with the CBC curriculum.
• Organise and supervise field events, sports days, inter‑school competitions and fixtures.
• Collaborate with school management to schedule activities, manage resources and communicate fixtures to parents and stakeholders.
• Set up and take down sports equipment, ensuring facilities are safe and ready for use.
• Maintain attendance records, track student participation and report on team progress.
• Monitor learner development, provide constructive feedback and uphold child safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience coaching sports in a school setting.
• Experience teaching a variety of ball games and athletics to children aged 4‑15.
• Ability to plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned P.E. lessons.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to student safety.
