Stock In-Charge

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Stock In-Charge based in Nairobi. The role covers the end-to-end control of stock, from receiving and issuing to recording, reconciling and reporting, working closely with procurement, sales, finance and the warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, issuance and movement of stock, keeping all transactions properly recorded
• Monitor stock levels, flagging slow-moving, excess or low-stock items and keeping stock organised and labelled to minimise damage and loss
• Maintain accurate stock records and registers, run regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records, investigating variances
• Verify incoming stock against delivery notes and purchase orders, and document all issues, transfers, returns and adjustments
• Take part in periodic stock audits and report losses, damages and unusual movements to management
• Use ERP systems to record and track stock movements and balances, and use Excel to maintain trackers, prepare reports and analyse inventory data
• Prepare regular reports on stock balances, movements and shortages, and coordinate with Procurement, Sales, Finance and the Warehouse on stock needs and discrepancies

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field
• Over 1 year of experience in stock management, inventory control, warehouse operations or a similar role
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory management

Required skills

• Practical experience with ERP systems and Excel for stock tracking and reporting
• Strong stock control and record-keeping skills
