Strategy Development Consultant for Child Protection Alliance

About the role
UNICEF is seeking a Strategy Development Consultant to lead a participatory process for the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (CPHA). The consultant will work remotely for 4.5 months, guiding the Alliance in defining its strategic direction for the 2027‑2029 period.
Key responsibilities
- Design and facilitate a highly participatory strategy‑development workshop series with Alliance members and stakeholders.
- Analyse emerging trends, challenges and opportunities in the humanitarian child‑protection sector.
- Draft a forward‑looking strategic brief that outlines the Alliance’s role, value proposition and support mechanisms.
- Produce a final strategic plan, including implementation recommendations and monitoring frameworks.
Required profile
- Proven experience in strategic planning or consultancy within humanitarian or child‑protection contexts.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse multi‑agency audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
