Student Counselor – Study Abroad Advisor

About the role

The Student Counselor will join Ed‑Hoc International’s Nairobi office to guide prospective students through the entire study‑abroad journey. This full‑time, on‑site position involves advising on course, university and country selection, as well as supporting visa, accommodation and scholarship applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized educational consulting to students seeking overseas higher‑education opportunities.
• Assist candidates in selecting appropriate courses, institutions and destinations based on their goals and qualifications.
• Guide applicants through visa procedures, scholarship options, accommodation arrangements and other pre‑departure requirements.
• Liaise with partner universities, colleges and immigration authorities to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and follow‑up throughout the admission process.

Required profile

• Degree in Education, Business, Counseling or a related field.
• Proven experience in study‑abroad consulting and visa processing.
• Strong knowledge of international education systems and immigration regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, universities and internal teams.
