Team Leader, Operations Support - Alternative Channels

About the role

The Team Leader, Operations Support – Alternative Channels will drive the efficient management of non‑traditional insurance distribution channels. You will oversee partner onboarding, performance monitoring, commission administration, and continuous process improvement while providing market intelligence to support growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operational activities for Alternative Distribution Channels.
• Coordinate processes with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, ICT, Compliance and other internal teams.
• Lead partner and sales‑team onboarding, including due‑diligence, documentation, compliance checks and system setup.
• Monitor performance against KPIs such as production, premium income, persistency and productivity.
• Prepare regular management reports and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Oversee commission calculation, reconciliation and timely payment.
• Administer commission structures and recommend incentive enhancements.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive workflow automation and system upgrades.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate contracts and records.
• Support internal and external audits and conduct market research on partnership opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Insurance or related field.
• Professional insurance qualification (e.g., LOMA, AIIK, ACII) is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in insurance or financial services.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience with retail life‑insurance distribution and alternative channels.
• Proven track record in managing intermediary networks and commission administration.
